  Hello, T.C.S.  I’m doing well in Costa Rica learning spanish and surfing ; )     

Here is a picture of a Planaria when I cut it March 11.  Notice the two ends that are attached to the sides of the Planaria.  I am trying to find out what that is.  I know some of the other students had the same thing happen to their Planaria.  Now the Planaria above has re-grown.         

I wish to hopefully finish my PLP before I leave this April.  I’m will do a lot of the work at my house because of Great Artists.  I have finished my Renaissance Project.  Now, I’m working on re-writing Alice in Wonderland in Hmainties.  I also wish to do well in track/fied team and hopefully get to go to some of the meets.  I hope to accomplish all of these goals before I leave.   (sorry it’s late)

    I very much enjoyed working on my Renaissance project because I think it has been a success.  I also enjoy learning about my topic, superstition and I have learned a lot about the subject.                                                                                                              
                                                                                                                                                       
    I have met the expectations of my goal to learn about the Renaissance.  My two individual projects were making a superstition board and to write a paper on the witch trials.  Looking back at my orginal expecations, I see now how I changed some of my orginal questions.  Even though I have not met all my original questions, I have still learned a lot about my topic.  Part of the reason I changed my original question is because some of question I tried to answer were harder to find.                                                                                                                    
                                                                                                                                                      
    I have learned a tremdeous amount about making projects.  This Renaissance project has been one of the largest projects I have ever accomplished in my life.  I think I have learned a lot about how to make projects and what to accomplish.  For example, I have learned about new ideas for projects seeing some of the sixth and seventh graders work.  One of my favorite things about seeing my classmates work, is that now I have new ideas about projects.  Being home-scholed in most of my life, I haven’t been very creative in my previous projects.                                                          
                                                                                                                                                        
    I got most of my knowlage for my project from the internet.  I also got a lot of my work at home.  Unfortunately, I haven’t  been evaluating websites very well.  Rob has just taught me how to evaluate a website and it was very confusing.  I wonder why there even are websites that wouldn’t be accurate.  I unfortunally used some of thoes websites, but, I did however make a bibliography that stated all the websites I used.  Other than that, I think most of my findings have been pretty accurate.               
                                                                                                                                        
    Now that I have seen my feedback from my other students and also their projects I probably would have changed the final out-come of my project.  I also didn’t know that I would be presenting my project in the way that I did.  If I would have known,  I would have written a small speech about what I have learned.  I unfortunately had to write the written report.  But if I didn’t, people would have thought I didn’t have any thing to present.  Looking at my feedback I agree that I should have been a little louder and explained what I have learned better.  I wish that I could show everyone my board but we didn’t have enough time.  Before we presented our projects, Rob showed all of us Renaissance projects that eight graders from a different school made.  They were two grades ahead of us, and I think they did a better job than we did.  They all did slide-showes with their voices in the background and I think they did a better job than I did.  They had more facts than we did.  If I did another project similar to the one I just did, I would try to make it more like the ones they did.      

    Looking back, I have enjoyed working on this project.  I chose the topic I did because I find Religion and superstition interesting.  I am actually surprised that no one wanted to work on the same project as I did.  I thought that learning about the Witch trials and superstition would be very interesting, not that the other subjects the other kids chose weren’t.  The only thing I would want to change, if I could, would be to work with a partner.
